Upgrading from alpha 2 to alpha 3

leave a comment »

Some of you may have used alpha 2 to add content, and want to have a go at using this content with alpha 3. There should only be minor modifications to the database in alpha 3, a votes column and a column type change on the duplicate column, both in the issues table:
votes: int(5)
duplicate: int(10)

Changing those two columns should make the codebase compatible (don’t think I’ve forgotten something), in case you want to have a try at running with your existing content. Also, it would be a good idea to re-import the wiki articles, as they have been updated quite a lot. There is not UI for doing this yet, but you can do it via the command line tool:

cd thebuggenie

./tbg_cli publish:import_articles yes
